Competition Jury/Competition Judges:
Race referee in charge and referees of SHTU
Except for special cases the event is based on the competition regulations of the German Triathlon Union (sports rules, organizers rules, bundesliga rules, anti doping code, judges rules) as well as law- and procedure rules and the disciplinary code. With registration the participant accepts the competition regulations, the laws and rules of procedure as binding. Each participant is responsible for the technical safety of his/ her equipment and is responsible to ensure that it complies with the rules. Special arrangements will be announced at the race briefing.
The following terms and conditions regulate the legal relationships between the participants and the organizer of the triathlon event OstseeMan Glücksburg. OstseeMan Sportpromotion UG (limited) is responsible for the event organisation. The following terms and conditions (AGB‘s) in their valid version at the time of registration or in their current version if it/this is more advantageous for the participants shall exclusively apply to the business relationship between OstseeMan Sportpromotion UG (hereafter organizer) and the participants.
Deviating conditions will not be acknowledged, unless the organizer has expressly consented in writing.

Mika timing GmbH, Kürtener Straße 11b, 51465 Bergisch Gladbach. For time registration a transponder system (ChampionChip) of Mika timing GmbH will be used. The transponders provided by the organiser must be worn throughout the entire race according to the organiser’s regulations to ensure the correct recording of time. Other chips may not be used. If the Transponder is not returned or is lost, the athlete will be charged with 50,- EUROS for replacement.
The participation requires
a) a Triathlon membership issued by a National Triathlon Federation or
b) a one day membership.
It is possible to request a one day membership for 30, - EUROS together with the application. Single participants are eligible from the age of 18 years.
The minimum age for the relay competition is for swimming 14 years, biking 18 years and running 18 years.
Relay teams do not need a triathlon membership or a one day membership.
Application individual competition:
a) Online via internet on www.ostseeman.de or
b) With official form downloaded from www.ostseeman.de .
a) Online application: In case of an online-application, the exemption from liability is given electronically on the website. The entrance fee will be collected through direct debit authorisation by Mika timing GmbH. The contract with the organiser comes into force only when the entrance fee is credited to the organiser’s account and the participant‘s name appears on the start list. The start list can be viewed on www.ostseeman.de.
Giving one’s starting place to another person or an exchange of a starting place (among participants) is definitely prohibited. If an exchange of a starting place is desired it is only possible with the allowance of the organizer.
b) Official form: When using the official form, applications are only valid with a signed exemption from liability and if the registration fee is transferred at the same time or if a direct debit authorisation or a non-negotiable check is included.
Application relay competition:
a) Online via internet on www.ostseeman.de or
b) With official form downloaded from www.ostseeman.de.
a) Online application: In case of an online-application, the exemption from liability has to be signed by all three participants of the relay team. The official form is available on www.ostseeman.de. The application is valid if the official form is signed by all three participants , and the granting of a direct debit instruction or a non-negotiable check are sent to Mika timing GmbH within 14 days or a concurrent transfer of the registration fee is made.
The contract with the organiser comes into force only when the entrance fee is credited to the organiser’s account and the relay team‘s name appears on the start list. The start list can be viewed on www.ostseeman.de.

The leader of the relay team agrees, to send the exemption from liability signed by all participants within the next 14 days after registration to mika:timing. If the exemption from liability was not sent to mika:timing within 14 days, the starting place will forfeit and is no longer valid.
If the exemption from liability is non-existing, the application is not approved. Provided that relay participants have not attained the majority/reached the relevant age on the competition day yet and are therefore also not fully capable of contracting, the signature of the legal guardian is necessary on the exemption from liability, in addition.

Please enclose a copy of the transfer form with the registration. Transfers made by third parties must include the competing athlete’s name on the transfer form in order to ensure proper payment.
Payment can be done by bank transfer, direct debit or credit card. Please consider that payment by credit card will have a special charge of 15.- EURO.
All participants (individual and relay team athletes) have to pick up their race documents personally and need a valid triathlon membership as well as identity cards/ passports which they have to present at the athlete check-in or at other control points of the organisation. Otherwise a one day membership must be bought. Members of relay teams do not need a Triathlon membership or a one day membership.
The registration of an athlete or a relay team can be rejected or they may be suspended if an athlete or a relay team disturbs the event, already behaves annoyingly before the beginning of the event or offends against competition rules or if their behaviour is likely to cause disturbances. In addition, the organiser has the right at any time to reject the participation based on a running doping procedure or a legal barrier. Furthermore, every offense against the competition rules leads to the disqualification of the participant. The participants who are disqualified for evident deception receive no start permission for the following two years.
Every participant will get a confirmation of registration or non-registration via e-mail. End of May 2018 further information will follow.

Entry fee OstseeMan and OstseeMan Seabattalion Competition*)

Athletes who register for both, OstseeMan 113 Damp and OstseeMan Glücksburg will get a discount of 30,- EURO for the entry fee of OstseeMan Glücksburg. For refunding this discount Athletes must send the details of their bank account to firstname.lastname@example.org.

b) Entry fee insurance 8% of relevant entry fee (only for single application)
The entry fee insurance is an entry fee guarantee through FINISHERSCHUTZ, in case the participant
cannot start due to illness or injury. This service is a voluntary option, which can be booked in
addition to the application.
c) Pasta Party Ticket for guests 12,- EURO
(Includes: pasta, salad, water, beer, cakes, Steinmeier fruit juices).
Participants in the individual competition can acquire a maximum of two additional
and relay teams can acquire a maximum of three additional pasta party tickets.
d) If there are changes of the registration after the deadline for application (03rd July 2018), there will
be an administrative charge of 20,- EURO for each transaction.
All prices include the actual VAT, licence and association fees. Transfers or checks only in Euro. Bank charges are payable by the participant. Checks of foreign participants must be transferred from a German bank.
Services like gifts for athletes, pasta party, substantial provisions during and after the race, massage, barriers, finisher shirt, medal, medical treatment, security service, online-finisher certificate, online-list of results, etc. are included in the application fee.
The start fee will be waived only for athletes (men respectively women) who finish place 1 - 3 in the OM 2017.
Right of withdrawal:
Every participant is entitled to withdraw until 06th May 2018. The entry fee will be refunded after the deduction of an administration fee of 60,- EURO. Foreign competitors should send their IBAN and BIC/SWIFT Code with their withdrawal.
After 06th May 2018 entry fees will not be refunded any more. A transfer of the start to the following year is not possible.
If the organizer has to change or to cancel the event due to force majeure, for safety reasons or on official directive, there will be no liability for damages from the organiser towards the participant.
Applications, changes or cancellations will be conducted only by Mika timing GmbH, Eventservice OstseeMan.
Age groups individual competition:
Single competitors according to DTU; minimum age 20 years, athletes born 2000 and older. TM Triathlon male / TW Triathlon female.

TM/TW 20 20-24 years - TM/TW 50 50-54 years
TM/TW 25 25-29 years - TM/TW 55 55-59 years

For Relay competition will be no age group judgement.
Team scoring: Each team consists of participants of the same gender and club. The three best participants of a club will automatically come into score. An additional list of names for the team is not necessary. However, all team members have to use the same spelling of the name of the club including abbreviations for application.
Relay teams: Each relay team consists of a swimmer, a cyclist and a runner. Two disciplines may also be done by one participant. Women’s, men’s and mixed teams are allowed.

Prize money Baltic-Tri-Cup:
The first three men and women will receive a prize money of
750,- EURO / 500,- EURO / 250,- EURO.
Prize money individual competition OstseeMan:
The first three men and women will receive a prize money of 2.500,- EURO / 1.000,- EURO / 750,- EURO.
The winner of the men’s race with a result of less than 9 hours and the winner of the women’s race with a result of less than 10 hours will receive a bonus of 1.000,- EURO. This bonus will go only to the winners even if several athletes finish in less than the above mentioned time.
Track records OstseeMan:
For new track records both the male and the female winners will receive an additional bonus of 1.000,- EURO. Only the winners will receive this bonus even if several athletes set a new track record.
Prize money teams OstseeMan:
The first men’s and women’s teams will receive a prize money of 300,- EURO. The second and third men’s and women’s teams will receive non-cash prizes.
Prize money relay teams:
The winning relay teams in the categories of men, women and mixed relay teams will receive a prize money of 200,- EURO. The second and third winning relay teams of men, women and mixed relay teams will receive non-cash prizes.
Every participant finishing the competition within a total time of 15 hours will receive the official OstseeMan Finisher-Shirt as well as a medal. Cups and a gift for the 1st to 3rd places of each age group, for men and women.
Top three athletes will not be awarded in their age group. Certificates and result lists will be available after closing of finish line under www.ostseeman.de.

Mass start of the competition at the sea front of Glücksburg. The TRI11 rectangular course close to the sea front, has to be passed two times clockwise. The athletes will swim in the Baltic Sea.
Fast and hilly, near water bicycle course through the charming landscape of countryside “Angeln”. The Specialized bike course has to be passed six times, thus being very eventful for both the participants and the spectators.
The transition from bike to run will take place in the same transition area as after swimming.
The Zippels running course, which leads along the water front via the seaside promenade to the centre of Glücksburg, across the town hall square, passing the castle, has to be passed five times.
During the competition, participants will get sufficient supply of water, Multipower isotonic drinks, cola, Multipowre energy bars and bananas. After the competitions, a wide range of drinks and food will be available in the finishing area. Atlantic Multipower products will be offered.
Swimming: 2 hours 10 minutes
Swimming and cycling: 9 hours 30 minutes
Participants who will pass the time measurement at bike aid station 2 in Glücksburg after 03:45 pm will be taken out of the race.
